According to published public sources, Zendaya will not be portraying Aaliyah, the R&B Singer who died in a plane crash.
The Lifetime Channel apparently had been planning to create an Aaliyah biopic entitled "Aaliyah: Princess of R&B", which is said to now been put on hold after its proposed star, Disney Channel singer and actress Zendaya Coleman has declined the role or backed out of the project. perhaps on account of fan concerns and commentary.
